Huge thanks to Modern Luxury for hosting "Dine with the Dandies" a gorgeous intimate dinner party to present Natty and my new book We are Dandy to some very special people. It was the dinner party I've always wanted to have, and it was beautifully put together at Omar's Private Dinning Club. There were quite a few I am Dandy book subjects, such as Simon Doonan, Nick Wooster, Gay Talese, Patrick McDonald, Iké Udé, and Dandy Wellington and I was so happy to see their wonderful familiar faces! James Aguiar, National Fashion Director for Modern Luxury, and Mark Haldeman who are profiled in We are Dandy were at the helm of the table opposite me and Natty. Henrik aka "Butler", another We are Dandy subject, was able to visit from Copenhagen!
Take a look at the photos by Hunter Abrams/BFA and see who else joined us! This wonderful dinner was followed the next evening by a jam packed book signing hosted by The Armoury menswear boutique in Tribeca, owned by Mark Cho. These two launch events really were a perfect compliment to each other and I couldn't have asked for a better debut for We are Dandy!

Simon Doonan knew how to get the shot. He's a pro, obviously!
I was thrilled to meet Linda Fargo of Bergdorf Goodman! That dress was killer.

Patrick McDonald, Nick Wooster, and Iké Udé...I think they were reminiscing about clubs in the 80s.

With Henrik just arrived from Copenhagen!
A very memorable moment - I get up to say a few words and Gay Talese gets up to insist the music comes down so everyone can hear me. I think I'll have him at every dinner party :)
It's been a whirlwind year and I can hardly believe the book we started in January is actually done and out in the world! It's a testament to the hard work by all involved, especially my publisher Gestatlen. I feel proud and happy and a bit nervous (what will you all think of a follow up to I am Dandy?). But mostly grateful for the great opportunity to meet all the amazing people along the way and record the beauty and strength and vanity and elegance for all to see. For me the heart of this project is that the dandies show us their joy for living.
